The Weather Outside Says “NO” but My Itchy Eyes Prove Otherwise!
Ahhh, the trees are blooming, the birds are singing and depending on what part of the country you are in, it is no longer snowing! And…there is a boat load of pollen in the air! Yes, we are still getting a little snow in Cleveland, but the blooming is in full swing.
Now that Spring is here, do you suffer with itchy, watery eyes when you get up in the morning? Ladies, do you have to touch up your makeup a few minutes after you apply it because of those watery eyes? Moms, are your kids sneezing like crazy and you go through half a box of tissues first thing in the morning, or, is that what you, yourself are going through every day? This is what my household looked like until just a couple years ago.
In my late teens I used to get allergy shots two times per year for seasonal allergies, used prescription nose spray and eye drops from the drug store. Some days I used to walk around feeling like a zombie. I could fall asleep at any minute by taking an allergy pill, it was crazy!
Two years ago I started using natural ways to help support my body during the Spring and Fall, I no longer needed anything from the store, same with my son. What do I do? I use two drops of Lavender, Lemon and Peppermint essential oils under my tongue when I feel sneezy and itchy. For my son, because the oils have a bitter taste, I put a drop of each in an empty gel cap. Within 5-10 minutes, the eyes are no longer itching and the runny nose stops dripping….buh bye sneezing!
I URGE you, if you have seasonal allergies, you have to give this a try, you will be amazed how it supports your body and over the next couple of seasons you will find that you are not needing this essential oil support as much!
Do you have a seasonal blend you would like to share? Please let me know in the comments below! Thanks so much!
